Fall Rowing Season

Welcome to the 2024 Fall Rowing season!

Forest Hills Eastern Crew is pleased to announce Registration is now open for all new and returning 6th-12th grade rowers!

This Fall FHE Crew will participate in daily practices and competitive regattas. This exciting opportunity provides novice rowers a chance to get to know the sport and allows seasoned rowers a space to continue their training and prepare for Spring competition.

Instructions for Fall Rowing Registration

STEP 1
FHPS requires each HIGH SCHOOL athlete to register through Final Forms. 
This process includes basic medical and health information, insurance information and MUST include submission of the athlete’s updated health physical (dated on or after 4/15/23). *a Pay to Play Fee is not required for the Fall Season, that is collected for our Spring Season only.*
This is a separate step required by the school and must be completed prior to registration with FHE Rowing. Please contact the FHE Athletic Department with specific questions regarding this process.

STEP 2
Complete the FHE Rowing Registration Form
This is a separate step from Final Forms and is required by FHE Rowing to participate.

STEP 3
Please submit payment for FHE Rowing Fall Dues.
*Seasonal dues pay for regatta fees, regatta meals, Coaches salaries, boat maintenance and other seasonal operational expenses not covered by FHPS.

Fall Dues:

 Varsity/High School $350 – This includes Fall Rowing Club dues and a uniform for use during the season, to be returned to FHE Crew.
Middle School  – $200 – This includes Fall Rowing Club dues and a team racing tank

Payment and Registration due by August 31. 

FHE Fall Rowing 2024 At a Glance:

Practice:

  • Practice will begin Monday August 26  5-7 pm for High School Athletes.
  • Middle School practice (grades 6-8) will begin Tuesday, September 3 from 6-8 pm.

Regatta schedule

  • September 21: Rockford Scrimmage – Rockford Rowing Boathouse (High School Only)
  • October 12 & 13: Heron Henley Challenge/Arctic Classic Regatta – Kensington MetroPark, Milford (High School Only)
  • October 19: Eastern Fall Classic – FHPS Boathouse (all rowers)
  • October 27: Annual Fall Fun Halloween Regatta – FHPS Boathouse (all rowers)

*9/20 – Hawk Rally – Team Tent and Athlete Parade 4-6 pm

Want to try an erg (rowing machine) before you sign-up? Stop by the Crew tent at the Forest Hills Eastern Hawk Rally in the Fall or Winter. We have ergs set up and we will let you give it a try or race with one of your friends or someone on our crew! It’s a great way to meet the team members, the coach and assistant coaches and ask any questions you may have about rowing on a team!
